3rd generation mechanic, taught from a very young age by my father Peter Sheridan (Tool Maker and Motor Engineer) I started earning money repairing Bicycles and Lawnmowers from my fathers workshop when I was thirteen, my first job was at a cycle shop In Wood Green and was taught to build wheels At Raleigh Industries.
I completed a Mechanical apprenticeship at Express Motors, a main Vauxhall & Bedford dealers in London and went on to become a Bedford truck mechanic. All this time I was still repairing lawnmowers as a side line.
To further my electro mechanical engineering experience, I went to Work as an engineer for a company called Quick and Brookes Domestic Appliance Service Specialists, where I was taught the intricacies of electrical fault finding under the expert tutelage of Mr John Quick.
In 1985 we started a family Garden Machinery business, specialising In the Sales, Service and Spares of most types of domestic lawnmowers. A company we had for twenty three years, before retirements and leases running out; forced us to close the doors. I continue to work from my workshop as an independent lawnmower and Small engine garden machinery mechanic, so have now been repairing mechanical things for over 45 years.
